Chris joined Rice Breeding Australia as the Senior Rice Breeder in early 2023. He has ten years’ experience in rice breeding and genetics research in the Australian rice industry which focused on improving yield stability and water productivity. Chris is looking forward to learning from growers, the team and wider industry while applying his unique skillset to the challenge of accelerating genetic gains in the rice breeding program. He is committed to developing improved varieties of rice for the grower.
